The Northern Michigan Chapter of IAAP meets on the third Thursday of the month between September and June.  Our meeting locations vary among work locations of several members.  Contact any of the officers listed in our "contact us" portion to find the meeting location.

 Thursday, March 19th  - 5:30p till 7:30p – Elizabeth Sonnabend, M.B.A., will be presenting Photo Editing Basics and Modern Technology and Business.  Learn basic features and reasons for using the photo editing software that is the most popular solution for designers.  Will also discuss some free alternatives to meet basic photo editing needs.  Elizabeth will also discuss how you can use web technology and apps for better communication and customer relations.  Find out the latest online marketing trends and what you need to do to keep your website up-to-date!  Snacks provided.  

1 Recert Point

Saturday, March 28th - 10a till 2p – Gini Courter, Triad Consulting, will present Microsoft’s collaboration products and Cloud Solutions.  Lunch will be provided!  Current Active Members are free and     non-members are asked to pay $15 at the door!!   Keep checking the website for more information!!   Recert points pending.


  • Saturday, April 18th  - 9a till 11a  - Last Hurrah as a Chapter!  Painting with a Twist!  No experience necessary!  All materials provided!  Current Members & Past Members invited.  $35 each to be paid at the door.  Come and join the fun!    Need RSVP by March 13th so we know how many to prepare for and what size room they will need for our group!!   Group gathering can decide to have lunch together afterward.

 

At this time a formal ceremonial meeting is not planned to close the chapter

at the end of April.

News from The Foundation

Welcome to the 2013-2014 Foundation of IAAP year!

There will be more announcements coming, but just wanted to share the new layout of the Regions and who to contact in your area!  Check back on the web community for e-mail addresses. Please be patient  as the staff at HQ gets back up to speed and back in the office from an extremely productive, fun and energizing EFAM.

We will be looking at a representative to the Bahamas, Virgin Islands and affiliates at our first meeting and we will keep you informed.

We will also post the teams and committees with the names of the volunteers as well in the near future.

We discussed at the post-EFAM Board of Trusteess meeting that we are planning on the Amazing Walk and the Silent Auction as our two major fundraisers for the coming year, with some of your suggested changes incorporated.  Your support of these events was overwhelming and something that all could participate in; watch for more details as we move along the year.  The new logo for the Foundation will also be shared soon once the Regents approve the design incorporating the new IAAP logo.

Again, I ask that you be patient with staff and the Regents as we all try to get back in the swing of things in our work and home life and incorporate the function of the Foundation into the mix!

Thank you for your continued support! It is an exciting time for IAAP and the Foundation!
